Scadbury Shramble July 2026
Hot, hot, hot! So we didn’t go to the exposed coast, but opted instead for a woodland walk around Scadbury Nature Reserve. Only 4 brave souls were willing to risk being baked alive. We started early at 10 am and had a (mostly) shady, short ramble ( a “shamble”?), arriving at the picnic area at 11.15, which Sandra checked as a living sundial. We had viewed the Moated Manor House en route, before embarking on the uphill, open ascent to the lodge. Andy posed with the bears (but no picnic) and then we went to the Sydney Arms for lunch.
